Vinita Nair

In July 2004 Nair joined ABC News and covered a variety of stories. These included investigating the murder of Jon Benet Ramsey and the shootings that occurred in Bailey, Colorado. Nair began working for ABC News as an anchor/correspondent for ABC News Now in December 2007. In this role she anchors live news coverage and news briefs for ABC's digital channel. Nair was co-anchor on World News Now and America This Morning on ABC from September 17th, 2008 up to February 18, 2011. She was partnered with Jeremy Hubbard and later Rob Nelson for both of the shows. Nair informed the audience on World News Now that she did not plan to appear in World News Now after Friday the 18th of February. She announced that her last day at ABC News would be Friday, February 18. Peggy Bunker from KDVR Denver became her replacement immediately. The February 18 edition of World News Now paid tribute to Nair throughout its three segments. They also had appearances from former and present coworkers, such as Jeremy Hubbard. The morning she left was when Nair treated her staff to a delectable breakfast. Vinita Vinita Vinita Vinita
