Anne Burrell

Anne W. Burrell is an American TV personality who is a chef, and a ex-teacher at the Institute of Culinary Education. She is host of Secrets of a Restaurant Chef on the Food Network. Anne Burrell, a Food Network star with her trademark long, blonde hair with a bubbly personality, reveals simple to learn techniques and eliminates the fear of eating at restaurants in her show Secrets of a Restaurant. Burrell is a chef who has been in the kitchen for a long time. Burrell is also an experienced chef of New York City's best restaurants. Additionally, she has studied Italy's culinary tradition and culture, along with the natural environment. Growing up in the Upstate New York area, Chef Burrell found a passion of cooking and food from a young age. The Culinary Institute of America is where she enrolled to earn an English diploma and Communications certificate at Canisius College Buffalo NY. The student says "I was a huge Culinary Institute of America student. I enjoyed every moment." I just couldn't get enough pleasure from it. After graduating, Burrell worked at La Bottega del 30 in Tuscany and La Taverna del Lupo (in Umbria) as she attended Umbria. She also attended the Italian Culinary Institute for Foreigners. In Italy, Chef Burrell gained an appreciation and understanding of Italian food. It made a huge effect on the way she thinks about food. Burrell has been a member of the Garden of Dreams Foundation Advisory Board that aims to make a difference in children's lives who are facing challenges. She is also a Juvenile Research Foundation Celebrity Ambassador who promotes the awareness of children with diabetes. Burrell travels extensively across the country in her role as a mentor as well as a guest speaker where she discusses her professional life and the joy of cooking. Anne in all her experience in the kitchen, has declared that it's an honor to be in a position to share her passion for food with other people.
